Writing and Research Fellowship

The just transition fellowship has been designed with the intent to promote groundbased research and reporting on just transition. This is awarded to early career researchers and journalists after a thorough selection process who then engage in action-oriented research on various aspects and lived experiences of energy transition. The centre has successfully implemented two phases of this fellowship.

Internship

Six-month or one-year internships will not only ground the interns into the domain of just transition but will also prepare a team of policy researchers and practitioners who are well-equipped with technical know-how around the issue. More than ten bright fellows have earned internships with the centre and are now contributing to the wider advocacy and consultancy in companies like Ernst and Young.

Certificate Course

Leveraging the expertise of IITK faculties, the centre runs short-term certificate courses on just transition. The course predominantly caters to policymakers, officials from government ministries and departments at the Centre and State level, and students interested in gaining formal training in energy policy and just transition policy, as well as environment and climate journalists. In the first cohort, 28 participants earned the certificate.
The courses will be offered at subsidized prices to individual members. Click here to get details regarding the previous course outline and original prices.
